The High Commissioner for Anti-corruption has the responsibility to prevent and fight corruption and other forms of illegality in public administration. Reports of irregularities may be sent: • by ordinary post, to the Office of the High Commissioner for Anti-corruption, piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina, 4 - 00186 – Rome Anonymous reports will not be followed up. For this reason it is necessary to provide some requisite personal data, that will be treated according to the State privacy laws.
• It initiates investigations into suspected or reported cases of corruption
• It processes analysis and carries out studies to prevent the evolution of illegal activities
• It monitors contractual proceedings and public expenditure in order to prevent damage to the public purse
