Global Collaboration Against Corruption. The Success of the IAACA Annual Conference

On 13 December 2025, the happening of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities was held in Doha. President Busia is a member of the IAACA Executive Committee and serves as Vice-President

The annual conference was attended by representatives from various countries, including Italy, which was represented by Anac President Busìa. Italy is represented on the Executive Committee by Busìa, who is also Vice-President and Coordinator for the European Region. 
The Executive Committee meeting took place on 12 December, followed by the Annual Conference on 13 December and the Annual General Meeting of all members.

These events were co-organised by the IAACA, the Independent Commission Against Corruption of Hong Kong, China (ICAC), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) of Qatar.

The week's programme included the IAACA Executive Committee meeting on 12 December, followed by the Annual Conference and General Assembly on 13 December. The theme of the latter was: 'Integrity for the Future: Innovation, Collaboration and Action against Corruption”.

The conference brought together over 250 representatives of anti-corruption authorities, government officials, and distinguished scholars from around the world. Delegates participated in in-depth discussions during three key plenary sessions.

The first session was themed ‘Strengthening International Cooperation for a Corruption-Free World’, followed by ‘Technology for Integrity: Harnessing Innovation to Fight Corruption’, and the third session was themed ‘From Awareness to Action: Mobilising the Public to Take Action Against Corruption'.
Numerous productive bilateral and multilateral meetings were held during the event, promoting key relationships. Several initiatives were also proposed, including the organisation of further regional conferences and specialised training sessions. These proposals aim to significantly improve international cooperation and capacity building, and are expected to be implemented from next year onwards. 
As Vice-President of IAACA, the President of Anac, Giuseppe Busia, addressed the International Conference on 13 December and the Annual Assembly.
