quattro direttori delle agenzie di regolazione degli appalti di Botswana, Eswatini Lesotho e Namibia e due membri del segretariato SADC
On 25 June 2024, the Authority received a study visit from a delegation made up of four directors of the procurement regulatory agencies of Botswana, Eswatini Lesotho and Namibia and two members of the secretariat of the Southern African Development Community of States (SADC )
For some years, SADC has undertaken, with the collaboration of the World Bank, a program for the development of the system for the governance and monitoring of procurement within the region.
For now the SADC program has involved the four states of the region from which the delegates come and is coming to an end, but in the next cycles it is expected that the further twelve states belonging to the SADC Community will also be involved. As part of the visit, the Italian governance system for public procurement, the activity of the ANAC and its procurement database were presented.
In particular, the procurement supervision model adopted by ANAC, the BDNCP and the use of red flags (indicators) for the monitoring and supervision of public procurement were examined in depth. The delegation presented the governance model proposed in the Southern Africa area and the visit represented a fruitful opportunity to establish the foundations for more lasting collaborative relationships between counterpart authorities, which deal with the supervision and regulation of public procurement, albeit in two different hemispheres.
- The delegation was received by Member of Anac Council Laura Valli -
