Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the national anti-corruption bureau of ukraine and the national anticorruption autority of the italian republic

In the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, the President of ANAC, Giuseppe Busia, and the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), Semen Kryvonos, signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at intensifying cooperation in the fight against corruption and strengthening administrative transparency.

The Memorandum provides for close collaboration between the two authorities through the exchange of best practices, experiences and investigative methodologies. The common goal is to improve the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures, while promoting the culture of legality and integrity in their respective countries.

The President of ANAC, Giuseppe Busia, underlined the importance of this new phase of collaboration: “This agreement strengthens our joint commitment to fighting corruption, a phenomenon that undermines the foundations of democracy and hinders economic development. By sharing experiences and technical knowledge, we aim to help build stronger and more transparent public institutions. It is an honor to be able to work with our NABU colleagues on this crucial mission.”

The Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, expressed great satisfaction with this agreement, underlining how it represents a concrete demonstration of Italy's commitment to supporting Ukraine in its path of reform and modernization of public institutions. “The fight against corruption is an absolute priority for our governments. Through this collaboration, we not only strengthen our institutions, but also contribute to creating a more transparent and conducive environment for investment and economic development,” said the Ambassador.

The Embassy of Italy in Kiev will remain actively engaged in supporting this collaboration, facilitating further exchanges and joint initiatives between ANAC and NABU.
